Tetra CrystalWater

Tetra CrystalWater is a water care product specifically designed to clarify aquarium water by removing cloudiness caused by suspended particles. It helps create a clean and clear environment for your fish and aquatic plants.

The application of Tetra CrystalWater is particularly useful in situations where the aquarium water appears cloudy due to fine particles, such as after adding new substrate, decorations, or during the initial setup of an aquarium. It can also be beneficial after overfeeding or when there are high levels of organic waste. Cloudy water can be caused by various factors, including mineral turbidity from bound clay particles or organic turbidity from fish waste, food residues, and decaying plant material. Tetra CrystalWater combats all these causes with a single product.

Tetra CrystalWater is safe for use in all freshwater aquariums when used according to the instructions provided on the packaging. It does not harm fish or aquatic plants. Do not use this product in aquariums containing invertebrates (e.g. snails, shrimps and other crustaceans).

You should refrain from using Tetra CrystalWater if your aquarium is experiencing severe water quality issues, such as high ammonia or nitrite levels, or if you have recently treated your aquarium with other medications that may interact with this product. Always check water parameters before application, e.g. with the Tetra 7in1 Test. Do not use this product in aquariums containing invertebrates (e.g. snails, shrimps and other crustaceans).

Tetra CrystalWater works by binding fine particles and impurities in the water, which then clump together to form larger aggregates. These aggregates can be easily removed through the aquarium's filtration system, resulting in clearer water.

Tetra CrystalWater is designed primarily to clarify water without significantly affecting other water parameters such as pH, hardness, or nitrate levels. However, it’s always advisable to monitor your water parameters regularly, e.g. using the Tetra 7in1 Test.

You may start to notice clearer water within a few hours after application. However, complete clarity can take up to 24 hours depending on the level of cloudiness and the specific conditions in your aquarium.

If you do not see any improvement after 24 hours, you may consider redosing Tetra CrystalWater according to the recommended dosage on the packaging. Wait for at least 48 hours between two applications. After using Tetra CrystalWater, wait for 24 hours before using a water conditioner such as Tetra AquaSafe. The filter should be cleaned regularly for optimum results. However, ensure that you have checked your filtration system and overall water quality first.

When using Tetra CrystalWater, always follow the dosage instructions on the packaging carefully. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes, and keep it out of reach of children and pets. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. After using Tetra CrystalWater, wait for 24 hours before using a water conditioner such as Tetra AquaSafe. The filter should be cleaned regularly for optimum results. However, ensure that you have checked your filtration system and overall water quality first.

It is generally recommended to avoid mixing different treatments unless specified on their labels. Always check compatibility before combining products to prevent any adverse reactions. Ask your pet retailer for further information. 

To treat clouding, add 5 ml per 10 L of aquarium water. Add 2.5 ml per 10 L if the KH value is ≤ 3 °dH. Wait for at least 48 hours between two applications. After using Tetra CrystalWater, wait for 24 hours before using a water conditioner such as Tetra AquaSafe. The filter should be cleaned regularly for optimum results.

If your aquarium water remains cloudy after using Tetra CrystalWater, check your filtration system to ensure it is functioning properly. Additionally, consider performing a partial water change to remove excess impurities and re-evaluate feeding practices or bioload in your tank.

An overdose can sometimes cause temporary cloudiness in the water instead of clearing it. This occurs because excessive binding of particles may lead to larger aggregates that take longer to settle. An overdose may put additional strain on your aquarium's filtration system, as it works harder to process the increased amount of bound particles. If you suspect an overdose, consider performing a partial water change (about 25-50%) to dilute the concentration of the product. Observe Your Fish and Plants: Keep an eye on your fish and plants for any signs of stress or unusual behavior.
