Each Tetra INX Filter comes with three outflow options: a classic water outlet, a spray bar and a diffuser. The spray bar provides even surface agitation, helping to prevent surface films and improving oxygen exchange. The diffuser creates a softer, oxygen-rich flow that is ideal for smaller fish and plant-rich aquariums. The classic outlet gives a direct, adjustable current for fish that enjoy stronger flow. Additionally, the Venturi aeration system allows you to further enrich the water with oxygen. A rotary control also lets you flexibly adjust the strength of the water flow. This flexibility allows you to tailor the water movement perfectly to your setup.

The built-in Venturi system draws air into the water stream, instantly enriching your aquarium with oxygen. This helps support fish health, beneficial bacteria, and overall biological stability. It is particularly useful in warmer temperatures or heavily stocked tanks where oxygen demand increases. The Venturi outflow creates fine, oxygen-rich bubbles without the need for an additional air pump. Cleaning is simple: The foams are designed to be easily accessible, making maintenance quick and mess-free. Activated carbon cartridges should be replaced once a month for optimal chemical filtration. Thanks to the modular design, each chamber can be accessed independently without disassembling the entire unit. Remove the filter foams, rinse them gently under lukewarm tap water and place them back into the chambers. Routine cleaning helps maintain strong flow and long-lasting performance. To reintroduce beneficial bacteria that may be lost during the cleaning process, use Tetra FilterActive Bacteria.

One of the benefits of the Tetra INX Filter is that it includes a suitable water outlet to enable quick water changes, making maintenance easier. Just attach a fitting hose to the water outlet during operation. This way, you can reduce water levels without removing the filter or disturbing the fish too much. The inner diameter for a hose fit is: 9 mm for Tetra INX 50 and 12 mm for the other four Tetra INX Filter sizes. After water changes, it is recommended to treat newly added tap water with Tetra AquaSafe to neutralise harmful substances often contained in tap water.
