Tetra FilterActive provides natural biological support for aquariums by replenishing and strengthening essential bacteria whenever the water is changed or the filter is cleaned. Its liquid formula contains a special blend of living starter bacteria and sludge removing cleaning bacteria that perfectly complement each other to maintain a stable aquatic ecosystem. The starter bacteria quickly settle in the filter material, where they help to restore and stabilise the biological balance. These nitrifying bacteria are essential in breaking down ammonia and nitrite, protecting fish from those harmful substances and therefore keeping the water safe. At the same time, the sludge-reducing cleaning bacteria in Tetra FilterActive actively decompose organic waste such as fish excrement, leftover food, built-up sludge and dead plant matter. This natural action not only keeps the filter cleaner for longer but also significantly improves its performance and extends the intervals between cleaning.  Tetra FilterActive also promotes bioactivity in the substrate, helping to prevent decay and reduce rotting processes in the soil. This creates a balanced, self-sustaining biological system that supports fish, plants and invertebrates alike, while also reducing the overall maintenance effort.  Easy to use and 100% biological, the liquid formula does not cloud the water and is safe for regular application. Simply shake well before use and add 5 ml per 20 L of aquarium water after filter cleaning or replacement, or use half the dosage after partial water changes. Tetra FilterActive can also be applied when adding new fish or in cases of high organic pollution due to a large fish population. For best results, store the product at room temperature and avoid exposure to temperatures above 30 °C or below 2 °C.
