The Tetra AirSilent air pumps have been specially developed in two sizes and black colour for aquariums in living rooms and bedrooms with a low noise level of up to 35 dB. This is equivalent to a faint whisper and is made possible by the piezoelectric effect. This effect also ensures that the Tetra AirSilent air pumps consume very little energy. A sufficient level of oxygen in the aquarium water is vital for its inhabitants. Plants produce oxygen during the day, but at night – when there is no light – they consume it, too. This can lead to a critical lack of oxygen in the aquarium water. For that reason, it is important to aerate the aquarium with an air pump, particularly at night. Thanks to its small size the air pump is easy to hide. The practical suction cup can be used to attach it outside the aquarium. At the same time, it prevents the transmission of vibrations.  All Tetra AirSilent products are complete sets including check valve, air stone and air pump hose.
