To create nature-like water conditions that cater to various species, it’s important to optimise both KH and pH values. For instance, fish like discus thrive in environments with a KH of less than 5 °dH, while fish such as Lake Tanganyika cichlids prefer a KH greater than 10 °dH. For effective use, simply add 5 ml of Tetra pH/KH Plus per 20 L of aquarium water to achieve an increase of around 1 °dH. If you need to raise the KH by more than this amount, adjust the dosage accordingly; for example, use 10 ml per 20 L for a 2 °dH increase.
