Tetra Goldfish SafeStart allows goldfish keepers to introduce their fish safely into a new aquarium without the long running-in phase usually needed to establish a stable biological balance. The product contains living nitrifying bacteria that immediately begin working to substantially reduce harmful ammonia and nitrite levels in the water. By preventing dangerous nitrite or ammonia spikes, Tetra Goldfish SafeStart helps to protect goldfish from stress and loss, ensuring a safe and healthy start from day one. Specially formulated to meet the specific needs of goldfish, it not only supports new tank set-ups but is also highly effective after water changes, following the use of medications, or whenever the filter system has lost its beneficial bacterial cultures. Used in combination with Tetra Goldfish AquaSafe, which neutralises harmful substances often contained in tap water, Tetra Goldfish SafeStart provides the ideal foundation for goldfish to thrive in a stable environment. Application is simple: Shake the bottle well before use and add 5 ml of Tetra Goldfish SafeStart for every 3 L of aquarium water. The recommended minimum water temperature for application is 16 °C. After adding the product, introduce a moderate number of fish and feed only small amounts during the first two weeks, for example with Tetra Goldfish Flakes. Always apply Tetra Goldfish AquaSafe to neutralise harmful substances like chlorine, copper and others often contained in tap water. Tetra Goldfish SafeStart is convenient and reliable, keeping for up to 12 months without cooling when stored at room temperature. To preserve the effectiveness of the living bacteria, the product should not be exposed to temperatures above 30 °C or below 2 °C.
