Tetra CompleteSubstrate delivers a long-lasting supply of plant-available iron right from the start, providing the ideal foundation for lush and healthy aquatic plant growth. Specially formulated for use when setting up a new aquarium, it offers a balanced mix of quartz and sand to promote fast and secure root development while ensuring plants establish themselves quickly and remain firmly anchored. Enriched with essential micronutrients and minerals, Tetra CompleteSubstrate supplies your plants with everything they need to grow strong, resilient roots and maintain vibrant green foliage. The inclusion of natural black peat, rich in humic substances, creates a well-balanced and biologically active substrate environment, helping to stabilise aquarium conditions right from the start. Free from phosphate and nitrate, Tetra CompleteSubstrate ensures no unwanted nutrient release into the water, making it safe for fish and preventing algae problems. To apply, simply spread a 2 – 4 cm layer of Tetra CompleteSubstrate across the bottom of your aquarium. This should be covered with approximately 4 cm of Tetra ActiveSubstrate or standard aquarium gravel to complete the planting bed. For optimal care, we recommend supporting root growth with Tetra PlantaStart during setup, fertilising the leaves regularly with Tetra PlantaMin, and supplying extra CO2 in plant-rich aquariums using products such as the Tetra CO2 Optimat Set or Tetra CO2 Plus.
