All types of fish require certain living conditions to prevent them from becoming ill. It may not be possible to precisely emulate the creatures' natural surroundings in an aquarium; however, we can try to make the tank as comfortable as possible for the animals. The aquarium system works best when the water, plant life, equipment and fish are all in harmony with one another. Water quality plays a crucial role here. It should be approximately the same as that found in the natural habitat of the various species of fish. The quality of the water also has a major effect on the health of the aquarium’s plant life and microorganisms.
